The Wee Daybook
About
hey, there!

I'm Heather.
I grew up believing that I "just wasn't creative."

I leaned into what I was good at (spoiler alert: test-taking is not a marketable skill) and ran far away from all the things I thought were off-limits to me: music, dance, and art-making of any kind. I also (gasp) thought creativity was a "waste of time."
Tragic.

I started dipping my toes into creative hobbies a handful of years ago when I just needed something in my life (you know the feeling?), and finally discovered the magical truth that many other people already knew:

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE GOOD AT SOMETHING TO LOVE IT.

Life-changing.

I'm kind of obsessed with creativity of all kinds now, and I'm a champion of hobbies. As someone who spent years (and years) without hobbies, just checking off boxes and getting through life, I am an absolute BELIEVER in learning to make time for the things you like.

Even if no one else knows or cares about your passions.
Even if they're not going to make you any money.

Even if they cost you money to pursue.

Creativity matters, people. So go make something.
